Multi Modal Journey Planner (beta)
The journey planner will now provide you with suggested walking, cycling and driving routes, alongside public transport journey plans. You'll be able to see how much your car trip would cost, alongside carbon footprint and calorie burn information. You can quickly choose what modes you want to see results for and we will provide you will detailed routing information.
Cycling routes use link information provided to us by Cycle City Guides and we would appreciate your feedback on any routing you are provided with. We will be making regular updates to the journey planner to make results as accurate and useful as possible. We've also included live regional traffic information in all driving results.
If selected, the Journey planner provides 4 public transport journey options depending on the start and end points of your journey and the date/time you have selected.
You can search for the start and end points of your journey by entering a Tees Valley address and postcode (if available) in the "From" and "To" boxes or alternatively you can click on the "Start (A)" or "End (B)" point icons and then click on the map. If the journey planner finds more than one option for the address you have given, it will give you the opportunity to select the most appropriate one.
For journeys starting or ending outside of the Tees Valley area area please use transportdirect.info
Please give as much address detail as possible. If you are not happy with the start and end points offered, go back to the start and add more detail.
The Journey Planner provides public transport information using published bus and train timetables and uses data provided by "Traveline North East" - a national website offering public transport information. For more information on Traveline, please click here
If you find any inconsistencies with public transport journey results, or incorrect information, please provide Traveline with feedback by completing their online journey planner survey. You can also telephone Traveline on 0871 200 22 33

You can now view incident and roadworks data on the Connect Congestion Map. This uses live information sourced from the Highways Agency and allows you to quickly view potential delays on the trunk road network.
The congestion map uses Highways Agency and Google data to display traffic information for the Tees Valley area. By using the legend in the top right hand corner of the map you will be able to tell, at a glance, how busy your local roads are. Currently, congestion information is limited to certain sections of the roads maintained by the Highways Agency, namely the A1, A19, A66 and A174. It is possible that coverage may widen in the near future. Use the zoom tools to get a closer view of which junctions have been affected by congestion.
